Caracalla, 198-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h), Rome, 215. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P Sol standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left. BMC -, cf. 136 (bust draped and cuirassed). Cohen 287. RIC 264c. A lovely piece, with a very sharp obverse. The reverse a bit weak, otherwise, good extremely fine.
